While not for everybody, it is the quintessential powerhouse Zinfandel made from tiny yields, a phenomenal vineyard site, and impeccable winemaking. Its characteristics are intense - jammy black cherries, plums, prunes, dried herbs, licorice, chocolate and coffee. This wine is best drunk in its exuberant youthfulness, but I suspect it will age well beyond a decade.
