Poggio Antico
1997 Sangiovese, Brunello di MontalcinoPoggio Antico is an Italian wine producer in Tuscany, particularly known for its Brunello di Montalcino wines.
The vineyards are some of the highest in Montalcino, on sunny, south-facing slopes at around 450 meters (1500 feet) above sea level. The hilltop breezes help dissipate fog and frost, and dry the grapes after rain, reducing the pressure of mildew diseases.
