The domaine was founded in 1955 by Claude's father Maurice when he purchased the Grange de Dimes – a 13th Century structure that had been used to store agricultural tithes for the church. This dense, syrupy wine is medium to full-bodied and layered with powerful chocolate-covered black cherries. Its magnificent personality is luxuriant, well-structured, and exceedingly long. RP Incredibly ripe pinot aromas combine seamlessly with superbly complex, almost fantastically rich flavors followed by phenomenal length. Bigger and with decidedly more volume than the Petite Chapelle displays yet this manages to retain all of the finesse and elegance promised by the nose. Stunning quality here.
