The 2001 Maya a typical blend of 45% Cabernet Franc and 55% Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits irrefutable finesse and elegance along with striking power purity and intensity. This cuvee enjoys malolactic in barrel of which 70% is new French oak. It offers up dazzling levels of concentrated black fruits intermixed with mineral tobacco spice box and earth. This seamless classic should rank among the great Mayas made to date ... and there have been plenty! Anticipated maturity: 2006-2022. RP
