I don't think any fountain pen ink could be darker than the 1994 Clinet. A legend in the making, the 1994 Clinet may rival the virtually perfect 1989. Along with the 1994 L'Angelus and 1994 Troplong-Mondot, it is one of the three most concentrated wines of the vintage, with layer upon layer of extraordinarily pure, amazingly rich, astonishingly extracted black fruits. This full-bodied, explosive, blockbuster 1994 should drink well by the end of the century, and last for at least 30 years. It is superior to the 1990 and 1988 Clinet - no small accomplishment.
