They spend a full two years in 100% new French oak and are bottled without any fining or filtration. They are exquisite examples of Bordeaux blends that are true first growths in every sense. It displays extraordinary ripeness (sometimes an issue in these high elevation vineyards) and enormous body, as well as crushed rock notes intermixed with licorice, blue and black fruits, and a hint of graphite. The wine is absolutely sensational, and was scheduled to go into bottle right after I tasted it. This blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot should age effortlessly for 30 years.
