The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon La Voleuse du Chagrin is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with vibrant notions of red and black currants, black cherries and wild blueberries plus hints of candied violets, dark chocolate, Sichuan pepper and forest floor. The full-bodied palate has fantastic concentration and depth, supported by a taut structure of wonderfully ripe, velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with epic length. Planted to the same selection of Cabernet Sauvignon and on the same St. George rootstock as Eisele, through 2017 the fruit was purchased by the Araujos and then Artemis. This second vintage under the Kinsman Eades label delivers waves of ripe cherries and a complex mix of baking spices joined by gentle oak undertones.
