Reuling Vineyard is a famous 7-acre site on a coastal hillside in the Sonoma Coast AVA, sitting between Graton and Forestville off Highway 116. Planted in 2000 by owners Jim and Jackie Reuling with help from legends like Mark Aubert and Peter Michael, it’s known for producing stellar Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
This is obviously a suitcase clone from a renowned Vosne-Romanee vineyard (we all know which one), and the results are remarkably similar. A floral, black cherry, raspberry, plum, and forest floor-scented bouquet is accompanied by extraordinary, savory, broad, rich notes of blueberries, strawberries, and wild flowers. Rich, broad, and beautifully pure, but neither heavy nor over the top, it is a tour de force in Pinot Noir.
