Bevan Cellars is a producer of Napa Valley and Sonoma wines based in Bennett Valley. It sources fruit from vineyards across the two major wine regions to produce small-lot wines made primarily of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Bevan Cellars' full-bodied, richly flavored wines score high with the press, making them highly coveted by collectors, and usually only available on allocation.
The estate was founded by Russell Bevan and Victoria De Crescenzo in 2005. Before relocating to California, the two made regular trips to Napa Valley where they met and were mentored by esteemed winemakers Philip Togni and Bob Foley.
Bevan Cellars is most famous for its red wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, both varietal and as part of a Bordeaux blend. These wines include the Sugar Loaf Mountain Red, the Tin Box, and the McGah Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, all of which have been awarded 100-point scores by American wine critic Robert Parker.

Robert Parker | 98 RP - The Showket vineyard is now known as “Au Paradis,” since it was purchased by Peter Michael Winery in late 2009. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, the 2008 Double E Proprietary Red Showket Vineyard has a deep garnet-brick color. It bursts from the glass with gregarious crème de cassis, prunes and dried mulberries scents, followed by opulent suggestions of star anise, sandalwood, eucalyptus oil and chocolate box with a waft of beef drippings. The full-bodied palate maintains a solid frame of grainy tannins and lovely freshness supporting the generous exotic spice-laced black fruits, finishing on a long, lingering mineral note. |

Wine Spectator | 97 WS - An extraordinary wine, gorgeous from start to finish. Offers captivating character of ripe dark fruits, currant, blackberry, kirsch, mocha, cedar, graphite, tar and more. Full-blown, beautifully structured, pure and persistent, sailing along gracefully, with a tremendous aftertaste. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. |
