Coche-Dury is a highly regarded producer based in Meursault, Burgundy. While they make some red wines from Pinot Noir, the house is famous for its highly collectible white wines made from Chardonnay. In fact, Coche-Dury's Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru wine is consistently ranked among the top 100 most expensive wines available on Wine-Searcher.
The Domaine was founded in the 1970s following the marriage of Jean-François Coche and Odile Dury, although the Coche family has been making wine in Meursault for several generations. Now, as well as holdings in Meursault, the family have vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie, Volnay and in the Corton Grand Cru vineyard. All up, the Coche-Dury holdings represent around nine hectares (22 acres) worth, about half of which are in Meursault itself.

Rating | 2003 Domaine Coche-Dury Les Perrieres Burgundy Loads of spices, hazelnuts, and almonds burst from the glass of the 2003 Meursault Perrieres (white). Light to medium-bodied and oily-textured, it exhibits pears, apples, and anise flavors in its expressive character. Its finish, which starts out wonderfully, is tightened by a lemony acidity that Coche will most certainly attend to during elevage. RP |
