For nearly three decades, Colgin Cellars has been dedicated to enriching and sustaining the hallowed history of Napa Valley wine production. Our goal has been to craft elegant and profound wines that inspire memories.
Since 1992, Colgin Cellars navigates the exciting future of Napa Valley wine with the same focus, passion, and reverence that guided our first thirty years.
Colgin Cellars produces exquisitely handcrafted red wines using only the finest neo-classical winemaking methods in concert with small yields, gentle handling, attentive sorting and meticulous blending. Colgin is one of the five original CultWines of Napa.

Rating | 96 RP - The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill is other-worldly. This compelling opaque purple-colored offering's beautiful aromas of blueberry liqueur intermixed with licorice sweet cassis smoke and subtle vanilla envelop the olfactory senses in a subtle but convincing fashion. There are no hard edges to be found in this masterpiece of Cabernet Sauvignon winemaking. The wine is fabulously rich unctuously-textured yet remarkably light on its feet for such great presence and purity with a finish that lasts for over a minute. This is a modern day legend in the making. It may be the greatest wine Ann Colgin her husband Joe Wender and their winemaking team of Mark Aubert and Dr. Alain Raynaud have yet produced. Magnificent! |

Antonio Galloni Rating | 98 AG - The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill has grown into an absolutely exquisite wine. Mature Cabernet aromatics and radiant Napa Valley fruit meld together in a super-expressive Cabernet laced with dark plum, gravel, spice and leather notes. For many years the 2001 was a tannic behemoth, but today it is much more approachable. Readers who own the 2001 won't want to miss it at this glorious peak. |
