2005 Corra Cabernet - 95 pts!

Corra Cabernet Sauvignon originates exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the Napa Valley. The grapevines struggle quietly on the western benchlands of Oakville and Rutherford, and on the steep slopes of Pritchard Hill.

Each growing area lends a distinctive character to the wine. Although each site produces tremendous fruit quality on its own, it is the harmony created in blending them together that elevates Corra to its highest potential.

As an example of the highest quality vineyard sources, Corra is pleased to offer Cabernet Sauvignons crafted entirely from the Melanson Vineyard on Pritchard Hill, and also from the Tietjen Vineyard, from the Rutherford benchlands.

Rating 94 RP - 2005 Corra Cabernet - 95 pts! Corra's superb 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon's opaque blue/purple color is followed by subtle aromas of charcoal, white chocolate, blackberries, black currants, and background oak. Deep and full-bodied with impressive texture and purity, this 2007 is accessible now, but promises to evolve for 20+ years. Corra is the personal project of the talented winemaker, Celia Masyczek, who is fashioning 200 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon from a Pritchard Hill vineyard. RP
