Robert Parker | 98+ RP - Their flagship wine, the 2013 Proprietary Red Dancing Hares is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The color is a saturated ruby/purple, the nose sightly more restrained than the Mad Hatter, but intense, deep and promising. The wine is extremely full-bodied, with notes of chocolate, espresso, crème de cassis, licorice and blackberry, this has killer intensity, super full-bodied richness, but is relatively light on its feet for this kind of mass and richness. This is a fabulous wine and certainly a great 2013, which is saying something in a vintage that is this incredible. |

Wine Spectator | WS92 - 2004 Dancing Hares Vineyard Cabernet We first were turned on to Dancing Hares by one of our friends up in the Valley.....Needless to say after our first bottle we were smitten. Dense with rushing dark fruits on the nose this wine shows great balance 2004 is still one of my most dear vintages ripe plush yum yumwell intergrated tannins and a deft lingering finish... What else would you expect from this assembled Super Star Team Paula Brooks Bob Cook - Owners Mr. David Abreu - Vineyard Management Andy Erickson - Wine Maker Michel Rolland - Consultant. Deftly balanced, rich and savory, with dusty currant, fresh earth, mineral, sage and dried blackberry, this is complex and mouthcoating, intense and dense without being heavy. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2013. 350 cases made. WS |
