It is a very concentrated, intense, extracted, chewy, full-bodied, and powerful wine that buries the palate in shovels full of black cherries, cassis, and spices. It is extraordinarily long, not particularly elegant (sometimes a nose-tackle is more useful than a ballerina), and will require patience to allow its tannic personality to subside. |
