1995 Domaine Jacques Prieur Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Burgundy - 750ml

Domaine Jacques Prieur is a relatively large Burgundy producer that makes both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from esteemed vineyard holdings across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune.

The history of the domaine began in the 1860s, with the marriage of Claude Duvergey and Marie Taboureau. They first established the wine and spirits merchant business, Duvergey-Taboureau House, before buying property in Meursault – now the site of the modern Jacques Priuer domaine.

Domaine Jacques Prieur now has 52 acres of vineyards including in nine grand crus, and 14 premier crus – among them are three walled monopoles. The best-known parcels of Jacques Prieur are also some of the most famous in Burgundy: Chambertin, Musigny, Clos Vougeot, Corton-Charlemagne and Montrachet.
