1997 Greenock Creek Seven Acre Barossa Valley
Greenock Creek Wines is a small producer located between the towns of Seppeltsfield and Greenock in the Barossa Valley region of South Australia.
The estate produces several wines from Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, as well as a Grenache. The flagship wines are the Roennfeldt Road Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, which are prized for their intense fruit and considerable structure.
All the wines are made from the estate's own fruit. The Roennfeldt Road property is the smallest part of the estate, and has low-yielding vines that are around 80 years old. The Cornerstone Grenache comes from similarly aged vines, whereas the Alices Shiraz, Apricot Block and Seven Acre Shiraz, and the generic Cabernet Sauvignon come from vineyards planted by the estate between 1989 and 1997.
