Robert Parker 94 RP - The 2002 Pinot Noir West Block Vineyard is a powerful, broad effort from a vineyard planted by Joe Rochioli in 1970. Sweet smoky, black cherry, raspberry, and blackberry aromas soar from the glass. Notions of forest floor, Asian spice, and smoked game also make an appearance in this big, rich, but impeccably well-balanced, opulent Pinot.

Robert Parker Rating 95 RP - The 2002 Pinot Noir East Block is a sumptuous effort offering a smorgasbord of heavenly aromas, including red and black fruits, sweet toast, flowers, smoked game, and autumnal forest floor characteristics. It cuts a full-bodied swath across the palate, with no hard edges. A seamless, rich, concentrated, aromatic Pinot Noir, it is about as good as this varietal can get in the Russian River.
