| Robert Parker | 94-96 RP - From a relatively old vineyard (planted in 1970), the 2007 Pinot Noir West Block is dazzling Pinot Noir. An extraordinary nose of kirsch, black raspberry, forest floor, crushed rock, and a floral cocktail of notes jump from the glass of this dense ruby/purple-colored wine. Full-bodied, with lots of glycerin, a fleshy mouthfeel, silky tannins, and terrific texture and length, this is probably my favorite Pinot Noir at this stage of its development. It should drink beautifully for at least a decade (like all of these Pinots). |
