| Robert Parker | 95 RP - The 2011 Echezeaux Grand Cru is adorned with an enchanting bouquet: exquisite delineation, almost crystalline, with fresh strawberry, maraschino and cold stone. The palate is medium-bodied with superb delineation, taut in the mouth at first, linear and then a peacock’s tail of delight on the finish that is sensual and velvety in the mouth. I often feel that the Echezeaux is unfairly overshadowed by the La Romanee and judging by the quality of this 2011, that should not be the case. |

The rich, velvety and palate coating medium weight plus flavors possess firm supporting tannins and outstanding persistence, in fact this is just as long as the Reignots if not quite as complex. |
