2008 Marcassin Three Sisters Chardonnay - 97 pts!
Marcassin is truly a Cultwine with its incredibly rish, opulent Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines which are extremely difficult to obtain. Helen Turley's personal production winemaking philosophy is focused on quality and excellence always calling for, "great vineyards, meticulously farmed, limited yield, long hang time, and natural yeast."

The 20-acre estate vineyard on the Sonoma Coast produces only 100 barrels annually. None of the wines interact with fining, filtering, or cold stabilization and are routinely aged for five years before they're released. This is truly one of California's most highly acclaimed, rare treasure: Marcassin Estate. The CultWine rules always applies with Marcassin.........."Find it............Buy it............Drink it!"

Rating 97 RP - Like the 2007, the 2008 Chardonnay Three Sisters Vineyard reveals a greenish hue to its straw color. The wine is slightly more intense and powerful in the mouth with a profound depth of flavor and notes of white currants, unbuttered popcorn, hazelnuts and citrus blossom as well as a distinctive floral component and minerality. This compelling Chardonnay can be drunk over the next 10-15+ years. RP
