Williams Selyem found its success buying and bottling single-vineyard wines, with Pinot Noir as the focus. Single-vineyard wines were not new to California, but the first for Williams Selyem was its 1985 Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir.
While Pinot Noir dominates production, Williams Selyem also makes a small amount of Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and a Port-style fortified dessert wine. These offerings vary in production from year to year but many also carry single-vineyard designations.

| Robert Parker Rating | The attractive 2011 Pinot Noir Estate reveals notes of forest floor, plums, black cherries and earth in its medium-bodied personality. There is just enough acidity for freshness and vibrancy, but it is neither aggressive nor intrusive. This elegant, fresh, pure, fruity Pinot should drink nicely. |

| Antonio Galloni Rating | 94 AG - Bright ruby-red. Pungent aromas of black raspberry, cherry and fresh rose, with a smoky quality building in the glass. Pliant, sweet and complex, offering potent flavors of bitter cherry, blackberry, floral pastilles and cola. Rich and concentrated but lively, closing with strong punch and fine-grained firming tannins. Quite rich for a 2011, but also shows the vivacity that marks the vintage's best wines. |

| Wine Spectator Rating | Sleek and understated, with subtle cherry, mineral and light creamy oak. The firmly tannic finish lends the flavors grip. |
