Williams Selyem found its success buying and bottling single-vineyard wines, with Pinot Noir as the focus. Single-vineyard wines were not new to California, but the first for Williams Selyem was its 1985 Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir.
While Pinot Noir dominates production, Williams Selyem also makes a small amount of Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and a Port-style fortified dessert wine. These offerings vary in production from year to year but many also carry single-vineyard designations.

| Robert Parker Rating | The 2000 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard reveals a dense plum/ruby color. The wine possesses floral notes along with black cherries, hints of sassafras, and a medium-bodied, oaky but tasty, fleshy style. It should improve with bottle age, and may merit an outstanding score. |

| Antonio Galloni Rating | Smoky, leesy aromas of hazelnut, dried apricot, overripe Bosc pear and orange peel. Sweet, rich and mouthfilling, with rich citrus and more exotic fruits nicely shaped by harmonious acidity. Wears its 15% alcohol gracefully. |
|---|
| Wine Spectator Rating | A ripe, opulent style, smooth-textured, with rich cherry, raspberry and blackberry jam flavors. Finishes with a long, complex aftertaste and just a trace of heat. Tannins are fine-grained and integrated. |
