Williams Selyem found its success buying and bottling single-vineyard wines, with Pinot Noir as the focus. Single-vineyard wines were not new to California, but the first for Williams Selyem was its 1985 Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir.
While Pinot Noir dominates production, Williams Selyem also makes a small amount of Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and a Port-style fortified dessert wine. These offerings vary in production from year to year but many also carry single-vineyard designations.

| Robert Parker Rating | From a San Benito vineyard planted on pure limestone comes the Vista Verde Pinot Noir. The 2001 reveals straightforward sweet and sour cherry and herb notes along with a peppery finish. |
|---|
| Antonio Galloni Rating | Good medium ruby. Aromas of roasted black raspberry, minerals, flowers, licorice and pepper. Sweet, dense and juicy, but still a bit youthfully tight in the middle palate. Finishes with a flavor of dark chocolate and some noticeable oak tannins that give a faint edge to the aftertaste. |

| Wine Spectator Rating | Smooth, with ripe cherry, herb, mint and mocha scents, it turns creamy and complex, impressive for its elegant, silky mouthfeel. |
