Robert Parker | Displaying mineral scents, the Chassagne-Montrachet Boudriotte's medium-bodied and racy flavor profile has attractive mineral undertones. With approximately two hours of air time, traces of lemon drops and earth appeared on the palate. Projected maturity: 2001-2006. As a long-time Ramonet fan, it is lamentable that the 1996 premier crus reviewed in this segment fall short of the high standards set by many of Burgundy's other top producers. |

Burghound | 89 BH - Quite golden in color but the aromas are not at all advanced, now revealing only the initial hints of secondary aromas and leading to sweet, round, pure, nicely complex and still sassy flavors of excellent length and a vibrant finish. Delicious yet serious and while this will probably improve for another year or two, there is no harm in teeing one up now. |
