Bryant Estate wines are currently harvested, blended and produced entirely by hand from grapes planted and grown on the original 13-acre estate, as well as on neighboring vineyards on Howell Mountain, Las Posadas and Madrona. The wines are also bottled, labeled, wrapped and packed by hand on the estate, then shipped directly to customers.

| Rating | 96 RP - The 2003 400 cases half the production of the 2002 is the result of seven different harvests as Melka and his team clearly wanted to show that they could turn out wine as great as any Bryant made to date under the ancien regime. Fermented in small open-top fermenters designed specifically for Bryant this wine is exceptional. It boasts a black/purple color to the rim as well as an extraordinary nose of blueberry and blackberry liqueur intermixed with hints of barbecue spice hickory wood acacia flowers and espresso roast. The wine 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has superb intensity tremendous complexity and at the same time amazing elegance and finesse for its size and power about 15%-plus alcohol. The acidity is remarkably good and the pH normal by a ripe Bordeaux vintage standard 3.75. Bryant's 2003 is a candidate for wine of the vintage. RP |
