| Robert Parker | RP 95 - Made from an old Wente clone the 2004 Chardonnay Quarry Vineyard offers notes of lemon oil crushed rocks white peaches and a hint of orange blossoms in a full-bodied gorgeously textured super-fresh format buttressed by terrific acidity. This stunning Chardonnay should drink beautifully for 4-5+ years. This Chardonnay tends to be aged in 100% new oak which is totally concealed and is bottled without fining or filtration. Consequently if it has just been shipped or moved it can reveal a slight haze. Amazingly the huge 2004 Chardonnay Quarry Vineyard totally conceals its 100% new oak. It offers a lemon candy/orange blossom/honeysuckle-scented perfume with hints of nectarines papaya and other exotic fruits. Full-bodied and rich with a striking minerality this beauty can be enjoyed over the next 6-7 years. |

| Wine Spectator | WS 94 - Intense and vibrant, with vivid mineral, green apple, lime and pear flavors that are subdued at first before opening up to reveal a rich core of hazelnut and nutmeg that adds a wonderful dimension to the fruit flavors. Complex and concentrated, it can stand short-term cellaring. |
