Rating RP97 - The amazing 2004 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard made from the Calera clone of Pinot Noir is named after Aubert's superb viticultural manager Ulises Valdez. This Sonoma Coast vineyard has produced a prodigious wine exhibiting gorgeous aromas of blueberries black raspberries plums forest floor and violets. Full-bodied with superb underlying acidity layers of texture and richness yet unbelievably surreal and light on the palate this stunning wine can be consumed over the next decade. RP
Wine Spectator WS94 - Wonderful richness and range of flavor, exhibiting spicy anise, black cherry, blackberry, cherry rhubarb and subtle earth and nutmeg scents. Glides on the finish, returning to the fruit and light oak themes.
