Williams Selyem found its success buying and bottling single-vineyard wines, with Pinot Noir as the focus. Single-vineyard wines were not new to California, but the first for Williams Selyem was its 1985 Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir.
While Pinot Noir dominates production, Williams Selyem also makes a small amount of Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and a Port-style fortified dessert wine. These offerings vary in production from year to year but many also carry single-vineyard designations.

| Robert Parker Rating | 93 RP - The brilliant 2005 Pinot Noir Flax Vineyard possesses a deep ruby/purple-tinged color as well as sweet black cherry fruit intermixed with blacker currants, wet stones, pomegranate, and ripe apples. With beautiful density, terrific acidity, and a medium to full-bodied finish, this super effort is one of the stars of the portfolio. |

| Antonio Galloni Rating | 94 AG - Medium red. Perfumed aromas of cherry-cola, raspberry and exotic spices deepen and expand with air. Sexy red berry and cherry flavors are gently dusted with very fine tannins and brightened by suave mineral notes. Picks up a hint of cinnamon to go with the clinging raspberry flavor on the spicy, sweet, very long finish. This is all Pommard clone, notes Cabral. |
