Williams Selyem found its success buying and bottling single-vineyard wines, with Pinot Noir as the focus. Single-vineyard wines were not new to California, but the first for Williams Selyem was its 1985 Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir.
While Pinot Noir dominates production, Williams Selyem also makes a small amount of Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and a Port-style fortified dessert wine. These offerings vary in production from year to year but many also carry single-vineyard designations.

| Robert Parker Rating | The closed, medium to full-bodied 2005 Pinot Noir Peay Vineyard has tart acidity, but plenty of potential. One can feel the weight and overall intensity of this wine on the palate, but I would not touch a bottle for at least 3-4 years. |

| Antonio Galloni Rating | 94 AG - Bright red. Vivid aromas of strawberry, raspberry, flowers, minerals and spices show great elegance and depth. Sweet and energetic on the palate, with lively red fruit flavors underscored by enticing smoke, floral and herb tones. I'd have guessed this to be a top-end Chambolle from Mugnier if it were served blind. Finishes with impressive length and gently firm tannins. |

| Wine Spectator Rating | Savory, earthy dried currant and berry flavors are tight and not forthcoming, ending with firm tannins. Needs time. |
