Williams Selyem found its success buying and bottling single-vineyard wines, with Pinot Noir as the focus. Single-vineyard wines were not new to California, but the first for Williams Selyem was its 1985 Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir.
While Pinot Noir dominates production, Williams Selyem also makes a small amount of Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and a Port-style fortified dessert wine. These offerings vary in production from year to year but many also carry single-vineyard designations.

| Robert Parker Rating | From the well-known Allen Vineyard, the 2006 Pinot Noir Allen Vineyard is deep ruby in color, with a sweet nose of pomegranate, raspberry, and cherry, some spicy herbs, and some damp earth and underbrush, the wine has good acidity, medium to full body |

| Antonio Galloni Rating | 93 AG - Medium red. Intensely spicy bouquet of strawberry, raspberry, anise and fresh bay, picking up smoky minerality with aeration. Tangy red fruit flavors combine depth with energy, offering silky texture and excellent clarity. Turns spicier and deeper on the finish, which is remarkably persistent and leaves behind a zesty bite of redcurrant. This is outstanding. |

| Wine Spectator Rating | Sweet-sour cherry and berry flavors are medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, if a bit simple when it comes to depth and complexity. |
