Williams Selyem found its success buying and bottling single-vineyard wines, with Pinot Noir as the focus. Single-vineyard wines were not new to California, but the first for Williams Selyem was its 1985 Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir.
While Pinot Noir dominates production, Williams Selyem also makes a small amount of Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and a Port-style fortified dessert wine. These offerings vary in production from year to year but many also carry single-vineyard designations.

| Robert Parker Rating | The outstanding 2006 Pinot Noir Precious Mountain Vineyard has plenty of raspberries, sweet cherries, and good minerality, fresh acids, and ripe tannins in a medium to full-bodied style. |

| Antonio Galloni Rating | 94 AG - Deep red. Utterly compelling bouquet of fresh raspberry, wild strawberry, smoky minerals and fresh flowers. Deeply concentrated red fruit flavors are improbably fresh and focused. This manages to be both powerful and graceful, with slow-building spiciness adding complexity. Tannins creep in on the back end but don't distract from the luscious fruit. This refused to let go of my palate. |

| Wine Spectator Rating | Spicy plum and sour cherry fruit takes on an earthy, minerally edge, giving this a complex mix of flavors. Ends with drying tannins. |
