2011 Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Vosne Romanee Les Chaumes Burgundy Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, founded in 2000, is a relatively new house in Burgundy, although the Liger-Belair family have owned vineyards in Vosne-Romanée since 1815. The domaine makes a range of grand and premier cru wines from vineyards in Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée, with the tiny monopole of La Romanée providing Comte Liger-Belair's flagship wine. This is truly captivating Burgundy at its very best.

Burghound A very fresh and distinctly floral nose also evidences pretty spice notes on the mix of purple fruit aromas. This is silky smooth, even satiny and while the mid-palate is not especially concentrated, the purity of the middle weight flavors is extraordinary. There is a lovely sense of harmony to the balanced and understated finish. Classy juice.
