Williams Selyem found its success buying and bottling single-vineyard wines, with Pinot Noir as the focus. Single-vineyard wines were not new to California, but the first for Williams Selyem was its 1985 Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir.
While Pinot Noir dominates production, Williams Selyem also makes a small amount of Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and a Port-style fortified dessert wine. These offerings vary in production from year to year but many also carry single-vineyard designations.

| Robert Parker Rating | 93 RP - Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Allen Vineyard delivers expressive spice notes of cloves, cinnamon and anise over a red currant, red cherry and lavender core. The well-structured, medium-bodied palate packs-in a great intensity of fruit, finishing with lingering mineral notes. |

| Antonio Galloni Rating | 94 AG - Bright medium red. The nose initially displayed an element of reduction but gained dramatically in perfume and freshness with aeration, showcasing fresh scents of red fruits, spices, menthol and sweet oak. Then plush but elegant and precise in the mouth, conveying terrific lift to its flavors of red fruits, flowers and spices. Finishes with seamless, refined tannins and terrific slow-building persistence. Really lovely intensity here, from an average-size crop. The season was "normal from flowering to harvest but very early," according to Mangahas. |
