| Robert Parker | 99 RP - A new addition to the Kinsman Eades lineup, the fruit for this wine comes from Geeslin vineyard, which is based in Calistoga, off Pickett Road and next to Eisele vineyard. The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon La Voleuse du Chagrin is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with vibrant notions of red and black currants, black cherries and wild blueberries plus hints of candied violets, dark chocolate, Sichuan pepper and forest floor. The full-bodied palate has fantastic concentration and depth, supported by a taut structure of wonderfully ripe, velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with epic length. Seductively opulent and beautifully poised, this is one of the most exciting new single-vineyard expressions out of Napa Valley in recent years and well worth seeking out! |
