Williams Selyem found its success buying and bottling single-vineyard wines, with Pinot Noir as the focus. Single-vineyard wines were not new to California, but the first for Williams Selyem was its 1985 Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir.
While Pinot Noir dominates production, Williams Selyem also makes a small amount of Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and a Port-style fortified dessert wine. These offerings vary in production from year to year but many also carry single-vineyard designations.

| Antonio Galloni Rating | Deep red. Fresh red berry, orange peel and baking spice aromas offer very good clarity, taking on a floral quality with air. Vibrant redcurrant and wild strawberry flavors are light on their feet, with tangy citrus peel and white pepper adding verve. Finishes sweet, clean and brisk. Cabral told me that this is virtually all Russian River Valley fruit, and that 40% of the grapes were estate-grown. |
