Claude 與 Katherine Blankiet 多年來一直尋找位於納帕谷 Mayacamas 山脈西麓的土地，一心只想釀造世界級葡萄酒。1996 年 1 月，他們有機會參觀一處位於 Yountville Napanook 葡萄園上方的未開發山坡，當時他們的代理人已取得為期一天的看地權。Blankiet 夫婦毫不猶豫，當場買下這片土地，並將其命名為 Paradise Hills。
