1988 黑皮諾, 中央海岸Calera Wine Company 是位於加州聖貝尼托郡 Mt Harlan 的知名酒莊。Calera 以酒莊內的一座石灰窯命名，以其富含石灰岩的土壤而聞名，這在加州相當罕見。 黑皮諾 是此地的關鍵葡萄品種，酒莊也因此釀製了數款單一葡萄園葡萄酒。
釀酒師 Josh Jensen 在勃根地接受培訓，曾於 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti 參與採收，隨後在 Domaine Dujac 實習。他就是在當地了解到黑皮諾與 夏多內 在石灰岩土壤中生長得特別出色，因此回到美國後，便開始尋找這種風土。
