Switchback Ridge 的葡萄酒完全採用卡利斯托加（Calistoga）彼得森家族葡萄園（Peterson Family Vineyard）的葡萄釀製。該酒莊自 1914 年起便由彼得森家族世代相傳，坐落於納帕谷東北端荷蘭亨利峽谷（Dutch Henry Canyon）的入口處，佔地近 100 英畝。這片美麗葡萄園富含岩石與肥沃土壤，始終產出風味濃郁的低產量葡萄，釀成極具濃縮感且以果香為主的葡萄酒，這正是 Switchback Ridge 的標誌。
釀酒師 Bob Foley 是 Switchback Ridge 背後的功臣。他已在納帕谷釀酒超過 40 年，並自 1999 年首釀以來，便持續精心打造 Switchback Ridge 的葡萄酒。
