2004 夏多內, 北岸這一切始於 1970 年代末，最初是 Ed Selyem 與 Burt Williams 在索諾瑪郡的社區 Forestville 裡發起的一個車庫計畫。1981 年，這對鄰居正式將計畫命名為 Hacienda Del Rio，並成立了合法酒廠。兩年後，他們推出首款商業年份酒（1981 年）之際，恰逢收到 Hacienda Winery 的停止侵害令，因此決定將酒廠更名為 Williams Selyem。
