2021 皮諾, 北岸Kosta Browne 是過去十年來美國最成功的酒莊故事之一。故事始於多年好友 Dan Kosta 與 Michael Browne 在當地一家餐廳共事時，發現彼此都對黑皮諾紅酒充滿熱情。他們起初只釀造極少量的自製黑皮諾紅酒，隨後逐漸擴產，途中獲得了一些資金，並拼命努力，直到有一天，郵件名單上的顧客得等上五年才能品嚐到酒莊指定園區的葡萄酒。當然，我這是在簡化，但 Kosta Browne 就是那種只可能在美國出現的創業成功典範。多年來，隨著釀酒方式的發展，葡萄酒變得比以往更加細緻。烘烤程度也降低了。部分酒液在開放式木桶中發酵，從我品嚐的葡萄酒來看，這種方式似乎很有前景。如後文所述，其中幾款葡萄酒採用整串發酵。Kosta Browne 的黑皮諾以其濃郁奔放的果香而聞名。這些葡萄酒年輕時極具魅力，這也是我偏好品飲的時機。
