RHADAMANTHUS, the ancient king whose name is derived from the Greek ‘adamas’ (‘invincible, untamed’), has much in common with our Diamond Mountain cabernet. Its origin is the former Reverie property—an old, terraced vineyard drenched in sunlight at 800 feet elevation that produces wild, indomitable wines.
Diamond Mountain is a place of extremes: small landholdings and homes set against a rugged, undulating landscape, a steep departure from the tame Valley floor below. Likewise, its wines—dense, muscular, esoteric even—are more cerebral, undoubtedly intended for the long haul. Just the way we like them.
